At the heels of 2015’s Furious 7, one of the quickest movies to achieve $1 billion worldwide in box-office record and the sixth-biggest global title ever. The Fate of the Furious: the latest sequence in one of the most famous and long-lasting motion-picture serials ever is coming.
F. Gary Gray is directing the April 14, 2017 release, that is certainly planned to introduce a new trilogy of films. Fast and Furious 8 is going to be followed by a 9th film to be launched April 19, 2019 and a 10th film planned to released April 2, 2021. Fast and Furious 8, 9 and 10 aren’t the only films that Universal has structured for the franchise, either. It was recently mentioned that plans are in progress for both Fast and Furious spinoffs and prequels.
The Fast & Furious franchise has seen all kinds of things with cars falling from aircraft to diving through buildings, the difference is for Fast 8 we’re using ice cars. The sequence, which has made quits in Tokyo, Rio de Janeiro, London, and Abu Dhabi, has now moved deep north. In the first look revealed online by the franchise, it’s well-defined that gun fights, drag races, and explosions stick to the Fast crew wherever they are, even to areas fully covered with snow and ice.
Moving around the world has been a signature of the franchise, that has become a global sensation with more than $4 billion made. Fast 8 has already shot in Cuba, Iceland, Atlanta and Cleveland, with a stop in New York still to travel. This movie is expected to be the first in a new trilogy as reported by series star and producer Vin Diesel.
It appears that today’s Fast 8 behind the scenes posts are all part of the film’s Iceland sequence, although these portions are being shot on a soundstage in Atlanta, Geogria. Major photography is also planned to take place in New York, Atlanta and Georgia with reports also recommending that Russia could be put on too.
For The Fate of the Furious, Vin Diesel is accompanied by a coming back all-star cast including Jason Statham, Dwayne Johnson, Tyrese Gibson, Michelle Rodriguez, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Elsa Pataky, Nathalie Emmanuel and Kurt Russell. Along with Theron, the series greets newcomers Scott Eastwood and Oscar winner Helen Mirren. The film is directed by F. Gary Gray and produced by returning producers Neal H. Moritz, Michael Fottrell and Vin Diesel.
